The majority of Americans side with our allies. Even those that voted for trump. But this is our mess to clean up. What we need is informational aide. Truth and facts are being held hostage by corporate sponsored social media. Im glad lemmy can answer that call. But we need a coordinated effort to take down zuckerfuck, elmo, and fuckspez propaganda machine.

The majority of our populace reads at roughly a 5th grade level. Now add a coefficient of technology divide.

Education is a long-haul strategy, and the right wingers have been destroying it for at least 40 years. There's no way to quickly turn that around.

To be fair the division stems from sininster algorithms. Each individual's internet reality is vastly different from one to another. If you're constantly bombarded with propaganda from one side, its fair to assume your opinions will be reinforced or begin to lean one way or another.

Facebook is especially sinister. They essentially have turned the asch conformity experiment into a social media platform.

Basically using your friends, favorite celebrities, and peers to influence your views. They even have fake accounts that appear to look like they are from your local community.
