let 10,000 "stolen" ideas bloom!!! ~~aaron swartz despite all of his (numerous, terribly nasty) brainworms~~ would have done more good for the oppressed living in the global south if he had succeeded in his mission of "stealing" the entirety of JSTOR than what the past century of western communists have done.

edit: think i must have been thinking of spez when i mentioned his brainworms lol

Capital Is Dead pretty much makes the argument IP is the new form of rent extraction. That's why companies have the rights to music locked down, everything is a sequel, and why Apple make all the money from iphones when Foxcon are the company that actually makes them
