Valeriano Orobón Fernández, born on this day in 1901, was a Spanish anarcho-syndicalist theoretician, trade union activist, translator, and poet who wrote the lyrics of the revolutionary song "A Las Barricadas".
Orobón believed in the organizational power of unions, believe that they would have a major role in reorganizing society in a more libertarian fashion. Orobón was also strongly opposed to the communist (i.e., Soviet) ideas in Spain during the Spanish Civil War.
Shortly before his untimely death from tuberculosis, Orobón wrote the words of "A Las Barricadas" to the tune of "Warszawianka 1905 roku", itself a well-known Polish revolutionary song. The anti-fascist tune became the anthem of the Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (CNT), and one of the most popular songs of the Spanish anarchists during the Civil War.

Mickey 17 was legitimately hot garbage, wow. It's fine to hamfist a political message. I don't even really mind that it's so libbed up (I mean, I mind, but that's not my main problem). But every single character lacks all internality, they always say the most obvious thing and do the most obvious things. There's no point where the audience has to think about why x is doing y, everything is incredibly telegraphed like it's a kids' movie. The dialogue is Dhar Mann tier. The sci-fi premise is overdone and they didn't do anything with the concept. Hell, Infinity Pool eats Mickey 17's lunch with the cloning concept, and I didn't even like that movie very much. I hear Moon does a much closer concept even better.
Moon is great. Go in blind.
I really hated Moon.
spoiler
It's billed as hard sf but it's so hard to tell where the line between hints about the twist and the filmmakers just not understanding how space works is.Like, was the video calls with his wife having no time delay because they were faked in universe or because the filmmakers just didn't bother to think about it? Because he should have noticed that immediately.
The sheer number of clone bodies in the basement dwarfed the entire rest of the operation, it's like 90%+ stored clone bodies, it would have been so much simpler and more effective for the evil megacorp to just have a normal mining operation than to do the evil plot.
They had a lunar capable rocket with goon squad ready to go at a moment's notice but also set up this whole mostly idle clones by mass mining station for the specific purpose of not sending as many rockets to the moon.
The entire plot just falls apart if you think about it for like five minutes.
