**EDIT: ** I was a bit frustrated while selecting language in a post and created this question quickly on the heat of the moment and didn't realize I created it in the wrong community, sorry. Thanks to the kind and helpful people that replied.

I can't tell enough how frustrating it is to have to select the post language every time, I would like to set it to English by default instead of explicitly having to select it every time, is it possible? I am using the web interface of https://lemmy.ml/

You don't have to but it helps folks that don't speak English to be able to filter by language. English speakers seem to be dominant in the undetermined category from what I've noticed.
