I literally said "unrelated"
I lied though it's actually related. Everybody's getting more sick because COVID never went away and everybody is hell-bent on 1) pretending it did, or 2) acknowledging that it didn't but that it's just "another endemic flu-like virus", or 3) acknowledging that it was indeed much worse than the flu, but because they haven't had it yet they're not gonna get hit with it
