Chat is a text only community for casual conversation, please keep shitposting to the absolute minimum. This is intended to be a separate space from c/chapotraphouse or the daily megathread. Chat does this by being a long-form community where topics will remain from day to day unlike the megathread, and it is distinct from c/chapotraphouse in that we ask you to engage in this community in a genuine way. Please keep shitposting, bits, and irony to a minimum.
As with all communities posts need to abide by the code of conduct, additionally moderators will remove any posts or comments deemed to be inappropriate.
Thank you and happy chatting!

Yeah I've run into this at my work as well. I receive feedback circuitously through my boss. Like, I'm extremely approachable and likeable and easy to talk to. If I'm doing something you don't like, just tell me! It's not only faster, but easy and I'm also a pushover so I'll say yes!
You guys need to understand that your coworkers telling your manager instead of you directly is a form of competition
They're letting your manager know you're doing something wrong, and that they were the one to catch it and are signalling that they too are also management material
Exactly. They are playing the long game to get you overlooked for a promotion/higher on the firing list. Its best to gaslight and establish their discredibility early. Start with small remarks.
