"Transportation using lightweight vehicles such as bicycles or scooters, especially electric ones that may be borrowed as part of a self-service rental program in which people rent vehicles for short-term use within a town or city.

micromobility is seen as a potential solution to moving people more efficiently around cities"

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

Police here in Manchester couldn't care less.

I've called them when a man was getting scary loud and literally physical with an equally hysterical woman trying to protect her baby, from him in her home and their response was to send a car over... 6 hours later... then decide nothing was happening so they just left.

I've called them for various other crimes over the years too (I live in a rough crappy area sadly), and most of the time they don't show up at all. At this point I've just given up bothering to call them if there's a crime taking place.

They exist to protect property and the ruling class, and only occasionally help us lower classes out if doing so aligns with those priorities.

E.g. they will show up for a murder in droves, as those drive down house and business values in the area and thus hurt the landlords pockets. Can't have that!
