Edit: y'all, I'm not defending any previous administration. I'm criticizing the current one.
I assure you that Amerikkka has almost always been like this, the only thing that has changed is since the civil rights act the ruling class has been throwing a multi-decade long temper tantrum over that act but in the meantime, had to pretend like it was sorry for the past.
Remember that the only reason that act got passed is that they shot MLK and got worried that black people, as a whole, might literally revolt.
Did you know ICE has jurisdiction within 200 miles of any border? And that all international airports are international borders? Obama ran more deportations than trump, he was just quieter about the jackboot thugs stealing people in the night

Life has always been bad, no need to get up and do anything
acknowledging that trump isn't the Bad Man who suddenly made America bad seems to be qualitatively far different from saying don't do anything about it
