one time i told some redditor classmate of mine that the soviet union invented the mobile phone and he immediately went "but the americans did it better!!!" and pointed to his iphone

The goal post basically never stops moving on that one. "Commies can't innovate!" points out that they do "Yeah well not as good as Usonia!" and the one up they offer is a shitty consumerist product designed to break in two years so you buy the next model, but I can play fucking flappy bird on it or something.
and then you can't play flappy bird on it anymore because it forced out 32 bit programs and shit! and you can't download it because it was removed! and you can't download it because you need to do 50 steps just to be allowed to sideload or some shit!
Fifty paid steps, of course. First the Atomic Age, then the Information Age, and now we’re in the Dongle Age.
my new phone literally has no ~~earbuds~~ headphone jack so i can't do shit like listen to the radio in case shit happens
edit: how the fuck did i do that blunder
i do have wireless buds from aliexpress that sound ok but are louder than i want even with 1 volume and have a slight delay because bluetoote
(also i meant jailbreaking, or in some cases, having to contact the company who made the phone just to give you access to shit like custom rom usage. you know, like having to contact support to delete an account or something? kinda like that)
