Ok, couple things. I haven't read the article yet, but here we go.

  1. This headline brought to you by democrats.org. Isn't that a bit like trusting McDonalds to tell you how great McDonalds is? They're not exactly an unbiased source.

  2. Even IF the headline were true, it's fucking May 2025. If people are just NOW realizing they don't want trump and fascism, it's a little late assholes! Where were you in November 2024? Because now trump is already locked in for the next 4 years. He already controls all aspects of national government.

It's kind of like lighting a big fire, and THEN deciding it was a bad idea AFTER it burns your house down.

It's the democratic agenda. Chuck Schumer and Hakim Jeffries already gave up the ghost. Do nothing, and when the Republicans prove that they can't govern, collect votes like acorns falling off trees in fall.

That way you only have to do performative shit, like 24 hour speeches for no actual gain, or printing a big banner.

The ratcheting doesn't matter, the terrible primary system doesn't matter, don't look at David Hogg, we'll sweep him under the rug to ensure no real developing of ideas or actual principles. Just cowardice.
