On May 12, California Governor Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, demanded that cities throughout the state adopt anti-camping ordinances that would effectively ban public homelessness by requiring unhoused individuals to relocate every 72 hours.

While presented as a humanitarian effort to reduce homelessness, the new policy victimizes California’s growing unhoused population—approximately 187,000 people—by tying funding in Proposition 1 to local laws banning sleeping or camping on public land.

In his announcement, Newsom pushed local governments to adopt the draconian ordinances “without delay.”

The people worse off must be made to suffer more so that those slightly above them don't have to be reminded of what awaits them if they slip from their already precarious position.

Very ghoulish of you to use one disadvantaged group to attack another.

I don't blame you, i blame your mother and father for failing to raise a decent person. Your whole family is probably as vile as yourself.

If anyone asks me to completely abandon my compassion for human beings in one of the worst situations imaginable, then they can go fuck themselves. You can go fuck yourself.

After calling you out for using one group against another, you quickly re-couched your position behind 'this is what the working class wants' and 'winning the electorate' because you're cowardly. Your opinion has nothing to do with what you think will win elections or fits in with the mainstream, your explanation is only to protect your own ego from accusations of cruelty.

Here is your actual opinion:

You think homeless people have failed at life and don't deserve the same dignity or respect afforded to everyone else.

It's darwinian, and if the shoe were on the other foot and you were in a similarly difficult position as they are now, you'd be crying and moaning about how you're different and a special case and how you deserve our help and kindness.

You're selfish and lack empathy, and it's so fricking obvious even randos on the internet can clock you. Do the world a favor and microwave your balls.
