A German leftist MP called out during chancellor’s speech “it’s a genocide”.

#Germany's new chancellor Friedrich Merz gave his first government statement on 14 May. As he referred to “the war in Gaza”, there was an interrupting call from among the Left Party faction: “It’s not a war, it’s a genocide (Es gibt keinen Krieg, es gibt einen Genozid)”.

Soon after the speech was finished the president of the Bundestag Julia Klöckner rushed to reprove it as “a relativization of Holocaust” and not to be allowed, without identifying the caller.
