MODERATORS

A majority of the Israeli public is opposed to allowing humanitarian aid into the besieged Gaza Strip, a survey carried out by Israel’s Channel 13 has found.

Some 53 per cent of respondents said they believe Israel should not permit aid to enter Gaza, while only 34 per cent supported allowing lifesaving food, medicines and water to enter the enclave.

The survey sample, which included Palestinian citizens of Israel, suggests that opposition to humanitarian aid among Jewish Israelis may be even higher.

As someone who is Jewish, I honestly can't see how the world moves forward with a country called Israel. It can't exist as a Jewish state to the exclusion of Palestinians.

Yep. I've got this fantasy that someday everyone in Israel gets equal rights and they rename the country Canaan or something to highlight the shared origins of the people in the region, but I feel like that's as likely as me being able to afford retirement someday.

The fascism of the Nazis assuredly felt unstoppable and insurmountable, at the time. And until people made an effort to stop it, it was.

The Nazis never got nuclear weapons.

I don't believe Israel have them neither. Is just convenient from them is people think they have them.

Not wholly, as if there was any proof then US funding would have to cease. The first official acknowledgment came in 2023.
