idk if im being gatekeepy here but is it really indie if you're published and funded by a third party and also contract another developer to do your combat gameplay animations?
like what is the indie here, a lower budget than usual? it already had a movie greenlit before release lmao
It's the first game of a studio of less than 30 people.
don't get me wrong it's a huge achievement for AA games, but I'm failing to see the independence in getting millions of dollars of corporate funding from a third party who then publishes your game for you
