George Lucas is way more based than most of these liberals that claim to like Star Wars.

He admitted that the Rebel Alliance vs the Empire is an allegory of the Viet Cong vs the U.S. military, and that he himself is a communist sympathizer.

I remember reading that too.

He said that he was surprised at the relative lack of regulations in Soviet cinema, especially in regards to violence.

The only thing you couldn't do, was advocate for the overthrow of socialism
