I'll give you a hint, France also did their fair bit of chieftain murdering and then sold America some land they didn't own with more of them living there.

Sure bad and horrible but it's not really the same as overthrowing the dictator IMO, even the reverse.

I know, America doesn't really have a place in this comparison at all, huh?

It gets even better when you know contact with the American tribes and their systems actually inspired quite a lot of the humanist philosophy that both nations used to pat themselves on the back for being champions of.
