A lot of the 88,000 accounts were made in the week leading up to the blackout as well. I started looking elsewhere as soon as Lawrence announced Sync was shutting down instead of waiting for the blackout to start.

Yep, I made my account just before the blackout started because I knew there would be chaos when the big wave hit.

I have done the same with Apollo announcement. I created my kbin account a few days before the blackout, just in case it would be to difficult to register during the blackout.
