The first 6-12 months here (during/right after the Reddit API drama) were great. After that....not so much.

Wouldn't be an issue if federation was happening with a whole bunch of tiny instances, but it's one giant and then a few other smaller ones.

So you don't understand the point of federation then? It's not to have one big Reddit clone full of Reddit bullshit and Reddit corruption. It was to have countless little homes combined together to make a whole, but what we have at the moment is Reddit bullshit but worse.

I don't all my problems are with large fediverse servers having so much power to shut out things they don't like. Having such large servers is a major issue for diversity of thought. That's all.
