Still have to jump through hoops to even get gapps without compromising the whole point of the OS.

It's been years since I considered linux phone since the pinephone project was entirely developer focused and barely usable. How is it these days? I mostly get by with Termux on my android phone which gives me basically full linux terminal with openssh/rsync, vim, tmux and the rest.
Most people aren't trying to make using their phone harder. It's great if that's your hobby, but it really does make things a whole lot harder.
Many such cases. It's just like the many blue collar workers in "More Perfect Union" youtube videos imploring Trump to not destroy their livelihood since they voted for him.
I won't argue the merits of the current administration's methods. I haven't actually stated my beliefs. I'm just pointing out some reasoning that legal immigrants will definitely use in their internal calculations on what to support.
I'm the guy that left reddit 10 years ago during the Elen Pao thing and never returned, moving from free speech platform to free speech platform. Putting up with literal nazis whom I did not in any way agree with because they were censored and banned while I was there for ideological reasons.
We are not the same.
I don't have to deny being an asshole, because being an asshole is subjective. I really don't give a shit what online randos think of me.
Living on the run because they're breaking the law. Lots of people don't like when people break the law. But I'm just telling you what legal immigrants are likely to think and why they may support the deportation of illegal immigrants.
I'm merely stating that when you work hard to do something the right way, seeing somebody get what you got by breaking the law is frustrating. It's human nature.
You're assuming that LEGAL immigrants would be deported, but the LEGAL immigrants are just mad that they put in the enormous amount of effort to go through the LEGAL channels while the ILLEGAL immigrants basically run roughshod and make a mockery of their efforts.
So you don't understand the point of federation then? It's not to have one big Reddit clone full of Reddit bullshit and Reddit corruption. It was to have countless little homes combined together to make a whole, but what we have at the moment is Reddit bullshit but worse.
The strength of an OS comes from the available apps/programs. Android and iOS have that in spades, but in order to access it on graphene it's deliberately obtuse. I'm fine running Lineage with gapps or whatever, but it always felt like Graphene was fighting me every step of the way and just getting in the way.
I ran cyanogenmod for years but that was before Google tightened their grip on the reigns and tried to make running anything other than stock a pain.
