No. According to the article, Sanders talks about antisemitism and the fears of jews in New York. You could see 'carefully addressing topics about Isreal' as pushing him pro-isreal, but also as being diplomatic. It is not fair to put Sanders is the genocide camp because of his faith.
Zohran Mamdani never conflates Judaism and Zionism. Anyone telling him that he should not criticize Israel because of Antisemitism is a Zionsist. Like Bernie Sanders, who is a Zionist.

Yes he is saying to be careful how you word your criticism as to not blame it on jews in general which could cause problems for jews living there. What part don't you understand?

There was some isolated cases of hostility, descrimination and harrasement when russia invaded ukraine against russians just for being russians. In canada a russian pianist who publicly condemned russia invasion had his performance cancelled from montreal symphony orchestra. Does that mean we should be careful about how to condemn russia?
It could be general advice or maybe it was a reaction to something. I don't know. But the context we got was nothing that OP describes. Bernie is also not canceling that dudes concerts as far as I know.

The part about russia is to say just because there is russians and jews that get descriminated and violence comited against them doesn't mean we should keep saying we should be careful about how we talk about genocides and occupations.
Nobody should tell how we should critisize isrsel under the pretext of tring to avoid hurting jews feeling. Everybody should be safe.
Saying because you may make jews feels unsafe you should be careful about how you critisize israel is like saying you should be careful when critisizing hamas , you may make some muslims feel hurt. We know that israel do not represent all jews and hamas do not represent all muslims and palestinians

Yes you should be cautious how you address Russia. Russians might interpret this as minimizing the fear Russians have in Russia and elsewhere from the threat of hate against them.
