This reminds me of a favorite Vonnegut aphorism:

We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I haven't watched the video yet, but that Vonnegut aphorism made me think about how, for better or for worse, we become the people we spend our time with. For me, this was a thing that happened for the better, because I am privileged to have some wonderful people in my life, who have gradually become a part of who I am now.
