Being poor is an answer! :)
But if you're ever rich, you might go full speed on the hedonistic treadmill!
Not really - it makes you want what you can't have all the more, and sometimes that builds to a point which causes you to make the wrong choice & then you can't pay rent.
Of course there are some borderline cases, but most people are friends with themselves and understand how to use money.
