Carney refused to commit more funding even though he promised to continue the program in election season. Plus with the money already allocated for the provinces liberal Susan Holt from New Brunswick and the previous liberal Newfoundland & Labrador government refused to sign on.

Only BC and Manitoba’s NDP governments, The Yukon Liberal government with supply and confidence with the NDP and PEI PC actually implemented the extremely limited pharmacare that only covered birth control options and diabetes medications
