I really like that it has a step counter and that it's powered by solar. Does anyone know if the open source app works with this watch?

The one main thing that makes me hesitant is that I wanted to use it as an alarm clock to wake me up from sleep, but the volume seems to be quite weak.

Has anyone tried this and can share some insight? Also if you have another watch in mind that would suit me better, please feel free to share.

This will be my first watch!

I have a Citizen Promaster Skyhawk AT and a Casio Pro Trek 3500. They're both great watches, but I can't hear the alarms on either of them. I don't know why no one seems to make a usable watch alarm. Maybe my age has reduced my hearing by enough to matter. I end up wearing my Samsung smartwatch almost all the time because it's alarms have plenty of volume and it also vibrates. It frustrates me.
