Because you can install any OS on the steam machine, they need to sell it for the same price as it's worth

Otherwise people will buy them to replace their office computer

Steam Machine only has 16gb of ram. It's not under priced.

Yeah. i haven't compared pricing anyway to be honest. Hopefully, its built in a way that's fully upgradeable too.

But, just saying that the price will need to reflect the actual value. Unlike PS5, XBOX or Switch, these are actual computers that can run a real OS and competing stores, so, they can't absorb any loss, or people will buy them as cheap computers (like what happened when they rooted the XBOX's)

The GPU is 8GB vram and isn't upgradedable. The 16GB ram isn't upgradedable. It's comparable to any of the several dozen $600 mini PCs with 8GB of dedicated VRAM.
