Same statement. They don't pay corporate tax either.

They absolutely do. They don't pay enough but they don't pay nothing either.

If they're not paying enough, why are we subsidising them? Why are they still benifical?

Do you think if Walmart had to pay all of the food stamp costs of their employees, do you think Walmart would dissapear and replaced by nothing?

I also encourage you to look up how much federal tax Amazon pays

Rules like forcing companies to pay for food stamp costs for employees are definitely a better solution than trying to increase their taxes.

I don't think you understand what a century tax is. Because thats what that is.

[–] MyVeryRealName@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I definitely don't know what a century tax is and can't find anything on Google. Care to elaborate?

Sorry auto correct got the best ofe there. Just what a tax is.

Its just a charge levied by the government. You think taxes are only income taxes, but thats just one type of tax.

In the same way tarrifs are also taxes, so would be making an employer pay for govermenet benifit, would also be a tax.

Yes but taxes can be subverted by changing the registered address of the company. Can't say the same about food stamps.
