A lot of us go vegan for ethical reasons. It's great to experience health benefits too!

In my case, I lost a lot of weight. I feel much better mentally and recover faster from exercise.

I have used soy, almond, and coconut milk to make tea or coffee. I haven't really found a good alternative to cheese. Most of the vegan cheese and butter alternatives tend to be processed. I think I just have to live without them. ๐Ÿฅฒ

Giving up cheese is/was hard. Especially things like queso. The only thing that helped this craving for me, was oddly, humus. I make Hummus Wraps with cucumbers and other veggies. This was the only thing the somewhat satisfied cheese craving for me.

I've been doing tortilla wraps with a vegetable spread, beans and then cucumber or bell pepper.
I get pre-cooked white beans, wash them, then pop them into the microwave with a bit of salt.

Maybe you want to try that. The warm beans do hit the spot for me, too.

Well, and I guess, I'll have to try hummus wraps again. I tried it before, but the chili hummus and cucumbers I used, didn't really work together and I didn't pursue that further since then.

I always just roll with roasted red pepper hummus, with cucumbers, bean spouts (or whatever greens) and tomato and hot sauce. Totally done the white bean thing too. It works well!
