When posting photos or videos that you did not take, please always credit the original photographer! Link to the original post on social media as well, if there is one.
Absolutely no AI-generated content is allowed! I know it has become quite difficult to tell whether or not something is AI-generated or not, but please make sure that whatever you post is not AI-generated. If it is, your post will be removed. If you continously post AI-generated content, you'll be banned from /c/birding (but it's obviously okay if you post AI-generated stuff once or twice without knowing you did so).
Please provide rough information location, if possible. This is a more loosely-enforced rule, especially because it is sometimes not possible to provide a location. But if you post a photo you took yourself, please provide a rough location and date of the sighting.
Just found out that this little bitch bird is killing all the other small birds that lived for years on the trees next to our house.
I noticed lately that the usual birds sounds are gone for the past three weeks, it appears this fucker is killing them

i'm guessing a Eurasian Jay from a subspecies that has a black crown & also is photographed from above? (there seems to be more than 1 & i don't know this species well enough to get closer on the subspecies...)

Not sure its the same species, but how do i make it stop killing small native birds.

bird probably has a nest nearby and is hyper aggressive until the little ones fledge
i think you just got to wait it out
when i had Blue Jays (the American kind) nest in my yard i just wore a special hat with lots of metal on it to keep them from hitting me on the head but the smaller birds could take care of themselves because they're more maneuverable-- i think your smaller birds will come back when the Jays finish
