I'm autistic and I probably would have interpreted "pet names" like that as well. π
Also, I would be too embarrassed to assume the other person is talking about romantic pet names. What if they were not and I'd make the situation awkward? Too much of a risk.
What do you think about Pet Sounds?
Cat sounds are the best ones, I don't make the rules. Then peacock and shoebill stork. If I went into all the bird calls I'd be here for hours though!
I donβt listen to much Beach Boys but Iβve got a lot of respect for that album.
I'm not, and in the moment, I probably would have said the exact same thing.
What modern person calls loving nicknames "pet names" still? Feels like a Boomer term.
