If the drums connect to the module with 1/4in cables (like an electric guitar cable) then it's fairly likely the pads would work with another model. Most ekit pads use a basic, mono piezo mic (contact microphone) that senses a hit and its intensity and sends that signal to the module. More advanced pads will use a stereo cable to trigger separate sounds for the center vs rim of a drum.

Yes, I would bet they should work. You might even be able to bring a pad to a music store like Guitar Center and test it on a floor model ekit, if the sales people are cool with it.
