Calling it now, high school and young college suicides will jump in 4 to 6 years. Once accounting for other future societal shocks.
Agreed, which means the people who support this have blood on their hands.
When the evidence starts coming in with horrific consistency I will not accept the response from the people responsible for this and who endorsed it "This wasn't the intention, how could we have known? We had to try something!". I will spit in their faces and label them complicit in murder as the only ones who will need hindsight to see this is murder are the ones seduced by the moral panic into shutting out rationality AND emotional pleas from youth. The rest of us can see what is happening right now, ignorance is not an excuse.
It seems hard to call when the government will publish false reports, journalists won't report on it for fear of being targeted by ultranationalists, and high schoolers won't be able to get the word out themselves because they're banned from social media and they can't afford to print and distribute newspapers.
