The right is Woke and has embraced cancel culture.

At least that’s what I’m going to say as a response to all this bullshit.

Let them try to explain what woke is and defend cancelling people’s jobs and livelihood over a twat like Charlie Kirk.

Woke is the wide-eyed understanding of how systemic racism and prejudices disenfranchise you and others. Woke is knowing the system has been slanted against those it is meant to serve and working to fix that. Woke is not a bad thing, and these chuds don't deserve the label.

Yeah, the term doesn't really fit very well, it doesn't mean "censorial" or "authoritarian" although no doubt can be those things.

"Woke" is the left-leaning equivalent to the right-leaning term "redpilled" when you think about it.

What? It fits perfectly. "Woke", as in eyes open and not asleep at the wheel. Able to see the injustice around you.

Has the term really been so warped by bigots that people don't know what it originally meant?

I was agreeing with you: "woke" does not mean simply that you want to "cancel" people saying things you disagree with, so it doesn't fit the current case where conservatives want to do that to left-leaning TV celebrities.

Ah, my mistake.

Might actually work, since "woke" just seems to mean "maga no like"
