Canada beat Qatar 6-0 in their second group game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, clinching the biggest win by a CONCACAF team in men's World Cup history.

Forward Jonathan David scored a hat-trick, joined by goals from Cyle Larin and Nathan Saliba and an own-goal from Qatar.

Midfielder Ismaël Koné was taken off the field on a stretcher after sustaining a serious leg injury in the second half.

With the win, Canada's first in a men's World Cup, the team sits at the top of Group B.

That was brutal. Wasn't even a particularly rough challenge, seems just really unlucky.
