Formula instead of breast milk due to advertising from formula manufacturers.

Cows milk because of advertising for US department of agriculture on behalf of dairy farmers.

The milk doesn't just appear out of thin air. Lactating moms need to eat a lot more to produce it. Someone out there is profiting from that extra food.
