On Monday, the US Supreme Court decided in Trump v. Slaughter that the US Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) may not be independent anymore. Since 2000, the EU has relied on the “independent” FTC as the enforcer of EU-US deals on personal data. According to EU treaty law, such oversight must be independent. In the current EU-US deal, the European Commission relies on the independent FTC 259 (!) times.

Do you have any further reading material? It feels like we haven't gotten too far past the point of no return but I suppose once you pass that point, by definition you can't return. Are we really that close to Snowcrash?

Look up Curtis Yarvin and Dark Enlightenment. It’s why fElon wore a dark MAGA hat.

Doug Rushkoff's Survival of the Richest paints a really fascinating picture of the tech billionaire mindset. Rushkoff has been writing about tech for like 50 years so he's able to explain the evolution from creative tech anarchist to fascist sociopath. "They seem to think they can design a car fast enough to outrun its own exhaust."

This is a good explanation of project 2025. It is a roadmap to the extreme right.
Women will lose their right to vote, getting contraceptives will be hard to come
by as they want women, white women to have as many babies as possible.
They want to institutionalize all homeless, disabled and mentally ill.Withing their circles the talk of mercy killings of these people. There is so much more craziness they want to enact and people need to organize and fight back. https://nwlc.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Project-2025-Full-Report.pdf
