Facebook and instagram shutting down might be the greatest thing to happen to society in the last 20 years

that was obama

Yes,

and there have been replacements. WhatsApp, Twitter, BlueSky, even Mastodon should probably die. And that waste of goddamn space Pinterest, whose only purpose is to hold someone else's image in a lower resolution and sometimes have any information or source. It's just a dead end for research.

My mother-in-law at least used to use Pinterest for pulling together ideas for decorations, arts, and crafts. It seems to help her find inspiration. I figure if it is making a difference in how someone is living their life, it had at least as much merit as the bullshit that pervades most of the Internet.

Maybe I'm too autistic but I just never could understand pinterest. I think it has something to do with like the same thing that femmes(edit: I meant this comment to include trans women but apparently it's not coming off this way. But I don't really know what word to use because honestly not all women have this tendency which Im talking about) do where they devote do much time and energy into their appearance and judging others appearances. It don't make no sense to me, kind of like the difference between doing something nice for someone so that you can get something and doing something nice for no reward. What good is either?

Go back to 4chan.

Calling women femmes is about the most cringe inducing way to admit you're a misogynist there is.

Oh sorry, I was trying to be inclusive of trans women

[–] trashgirlfriend@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

trans women are included in the category of women

femmes would actually exclude some women
