I can't find this thing. The local hunters in my area are seemingly retirees with time to spare, plotting truck schedules and delivery times.

To those fortunate enough to find this bottle -- how does it compare to the 10year?

If you haven't found this bottle - what're you drinking these days?

I'm taking a break to recover from a minor procedure, but I'll be back to eyeballing shelves soon.

My father in law is one of those retirees obsessed with hunting it.

It's nothing special in my book. Honestly. I've tried two different bottles of it and found it extremely close to the 10 year in the side by side we did. A little more vanilla and clove. Not worth the cost in my opinion.

I'm uh, well I'm drinking an Eagle Rare 12 because like I said, Father in Law is obsessed and gave me a bottle but after I'll probably reach for whatever Blantons my father in law or Uncle dig up

ER, Blanton's? Sounds like some cool guys if you're in the circle.

Appreciate the thoughts. I think with this observation, I can better temper my expectations for when I miss the local drops.

As is stands it's something I check for when running errands -- the local mart sells at about MSRP here. But if it's only a minor improvement over the 10, I can feel goo better about taking my time to get one.
