Amazing how many strong opinions exist for something we've got no clue how they're doing it

I'm worried, too. But this nonsense about how it sucks? We absolutely don't know that. At least not yet. Yeesh

You can't deny it is pretty disheartening that they went with a literal copy-paste of a scene from the first movie as a poster. Pure nostalgia bait.

Yes, we have no idea what the movie will be like, but this particular poster is definitely an example of a product being done for all the the wrong reasons. Whether it reflects on the movie itself or just the marketing department is another matter.

I… do not agree. A poster that triggers nostalgia? It tells me nothing about the project.

It might be shitty, it might be fantastic.

I mean... that's true. But it's a MARKETING poster, put together by the marketing team - not the writers or creatives on the movie. Its intent is to get people to remember the original so they come to see this one. It's not supposed to be a high concept art piece. They'd be stupid not to lean into nostalgia.

What matters is the final film, and if it does the same thing.

Going by History of the World sequel, I'll wait for the reviews.

Aye, forgot about that. Good call.

Welcome to movie criticism of the new millenium.

I was not expecting all the angry people. Isn’t this like the second sequel he’s ever done?
