I swear, if AI makes its way to the linux kernel in some way, I'm headed to BSD.
Almost every second PR to the kernel is already assisted by LLM. Or did you mean if they actually integrate AI to the kernel? That's probably not going to happen, no reason for it.
FreeBSD's Wi-Fi and sound card support is terrible and its browsers don't support containerization though. You can get around its Wi-Fi issues with wifibox which runs an Alpine VM in the background and uses drivers from that, and use jails as containerization for browsers, but I've not found a solution for my audio not working as of yet.
