Used to get these all the time about 30 years ago on our tomato's, I haven't had a single one in the 10 years I have been gardening again.
We've pulled 47 off our tomato plants in the past three days.
On the upside, the chickens absolutely love them.
Same location? I wonder if it has someone to do with the ecological collapse, like when was the last time you had to clean bug guts off your windshield? I also don't see as many grasshoppers, moths, or butterflies as I used to :(
Moved about 90 miles from that location. Been rewilding our yard and seen a grasshopper for the first time in the yard last week!
