I’ve never actually taken a formal IQ test, and I’d have trouble justifying the time and effort.
I know exactly one person who took a formal IQ test, and it was because their parents pushed them into it in middle school.
If I won $50M in the powerball and never had to work again, maaaybe I could justify doing one just for shits and giggles.
I only did a weird one for kids at the age of 9. max IQ points was 120 and I got 119. I asked why its not 120 and they said I was wrong with the end of WW2. I wrote 1949 and it was actually 1945.
Seeing my 9 year old son today, I am surprised how close my understanding about WW2s end was.
That was not an iq test.
Yes but it was bought to me as an IQ test. The reason I named it "weird IQ test".
But then you'd be tempted to become someone who tells people their IQ
