With everything going on with Twitter and Reddit I feel like I have a new appreciation for having my own local knowledge base in Logseq.

Yeah, the discussion around that has been stale for quite a while. It's a shame because otherwise I find Logseq incredible, enough that I begrudgingly put up with it anyway.
Athens looks very close to the Roam/Logseq paradigm and seems to support self hosting, although I haven't tried myself. Another option is Foam, but it lives inside vscode so it's an entirely different approach.

Edit: It seems Athens is no longer under active development, I'd missed that.

A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.

Remember the overriding ethos on Beehaw: Be(e) Nice. Each user you encounter here is a person, and should be treated with kindness (even if they’re wrong, or use a Linux distro you don’t like). Personal attacks will not be tolerated.
