I'm convinced that at least some of the Aussie subreddits have a lot of "contributions" from lobbyists. As, I quite often see things that don't seem Australian.. Like a lot of weird pro-gun stuff that in Australia we don't have in our culture.
I'd rather not have them here.
Municipal subreddits and local subreddits are absolutely astroturfed, any hot-button topic would always be flooded by hot shit takes that (before they removed your ability to see post history) would prove to be people running through different city subreddits blasting agitprop
It is actually insane how powerful social media as an unfettered platform is for that kind of manipulation
i see alot of indian subs pop up, when there were none before on the main page. im guessing they became prominent after trump started going after Indian visa holders.
