At any rate most of their content is based off subscriber suggestions and commissions. Whether they're aware of the symbolism and references of what they're asked to portray is not fully known.

They make a living selling horny Yuri to nerds, they know about hentai.

They're also generally pretty good at avoiding racist dogwhistles from their shared commissions so I think they're pretty clued in in general to avoid the worst of their Rome-fetishizing demo.
