I built a notifier for new movie releases for myself and there are so many of these movies. One would think the market is saturated by now, but apparently there are enough people who enjoy this kind of content for the never ending onslaught.

Romance novels still exist... 'nuff said.

There is an audience for it, sure, but I can't imagine it's big enough to sustain the sheer number of these clones getting produced. It's gotta be some kinda money laundering scheme, no?

They are really cheap to produce. And there are right wing Christian investment funds behind a lot of them. They don’t need to make money on them, it’s a form of propaganda.

They're super cheap, but also they serve a purpose. B-movies are a great start for upcoming directors, videographers, production designers, etc. You may have an assistant director from biger projects you want to promote, but since they've only worked under others you don't want to let them potentially fuck up on a big production. Give them a disposable Christmas TV movie to test their ability to run a set on their own.

Yes! I planned to make a library of christmas movies for my wife, each year adding new releases. But very soon I realized my naivity because there are so! Many! Of them! Every single year there are like 50 new releases of copy-paste romantic commedies

I’m interested in this notifier
