Mel Books is going to have to go to the funeral of his best friend's son.
One of Rob's first joke sales was to his father and Brooks.
They needed 2,000 Year Old Man gags. Rob's was about the invention of applause.
Originally, people would just slap their cheeks when they saw something great. One day someone missed their face and hit their hands together. Everyone realized that was a muich less painful way to do it.
So awesome! That is Reiner all the way. What I love about his jokes is yes they are laugh out loud but they are like a fine wine. They get better the more you think about them.
I just went and read the obituary.
I didn't realize he'd directed "A Few Good Men." Pretty much every movie he directed is a classic.
OMG yes.. In the 80s if Rob Riener was directing it was excellent.
