OR, the claim is absurd on its face. Tell me with a straight face that we have observed homosexual behavior in every sexually reproducing animal. That's the claim, "no species has been found", and he's obviously including "lower" orders of life since he brought up insects and echinoids.

There are animals for who we have no clue as to their mating habits and have never observed them. There are even more where we've barely observed sexual behavior at all.

Now if they said something like, "in almost every mammal and avian species", that would be a lot more believable. I still wouldn't believe that we've observed homosexual behavior in all 6,800 mammal species, but it's a fair assumption it exists.

It's also silly to act like this is a slam dunk on homophobes. They won't ever hear this, and if they do, they'll dismiss it as "the woke agenda", and containing an obvious lie helps that dismissal. These posts exist for you and I to pat ourselves on the back over how much smarter we are.
