Netflix is buying Warner. When Ellison heard about it, he tried to step in and steal the sale, but he was rejected.
That seems to indicate that Ellison is going to go after any media property he can get his hands on. Normally, regulatory agencies would prevent him from owning too much, but none of that will apply these days. He's already part of the TikTok deal.
IF Democrats regain power, it will be necessary to look at media ownership, and make adjustments if necessary. Trump forced the sale of TikTok to a conservative ownership, the Dems should feel comfortable doing the same thing in reverse, forcing divestiture where necessary.
