Monero is the absolute best privacy you're going to get for online payments, although it's not accepted in a lot of places.
And not traded against fiat in many places due to regulation
Thank God there's decentralized exchanges where you can exchange Monero for fiat if it's necessary.
I knew about this. I simply wanted something that already is accepted in most places, but also isn't PayPal but can still create virtual cards for payment. Even if they were to be leaked, no harm done because they're virtual and probably only had the exact amount of money it needed to complete a purchase (once). So it has 0 at the time of a leak or is probably removed.
If the place you want to spend at offers gift cards there's a 99% chance you can buy them with monero. You can also buy prepaid Visa/MasterCard debit cards but they'll only work at places that don't require 3D secure. Have a look at https://cakepay.com/
Many online banks and money services can do this. I have an account with one whose main purpose is transferring money to my home country to pay my student loans and for money while traveling, but they also offer these digital visa cards. Wouldn't consider it "private" in any serious way but it's probably less bad than paypal.
