The 1.4.0 upgrade is now available on the YunoHost appstore and GitHub. All automated tests were successful and the upgrade went smooth on my instance.

Took a bit. For some reason yunohost didnt detect it was done and just stuck on the backup script part, but the logs said success piefed upgraded. So thats good.

Ive seen that happen a couple of times on apps. I think its a limitation on the yuno api responding back to a script.

Yep, same here. It happened on all my recent app updates. Seems to be YunoHost-related.
